scottish country dancing

don't ask me how I ended up here because to be honest I'm not quite sure. scottish country dancing was part of the north charleston arts festival and it was one of the events that was free. so thursday morning I received a text from jordan asking if I was interested in going to see a scottish country dance demonstration. I was all for it until I found out that we would be dancing, not just them. then it turned into "ummm..... maybe. I'm not sure..I'm not much for dancing. scottish or otherwise. plus, I have to wash my hair." she quickly reassured me that they would teach me and that I could learn. I didn't commit. in my mind we would be doing something like this and let's just say I'm not the most rhythmic person ever.
fast forward a few hours later. I told michelle what jordan wanted to do thinking she would share in attitude. I was wrong. her response? "why not?" I couldn't believe it. WHERE IS THE LOYALTY?! but I let jordan know and a few hours later, off we went to learn scottish country dancing.

do I look as confused as I felt? because I was.

see the small brunette lady standing still? that's one of my English professors. I saw her when we walked in and couldn't believe it. but then I could. a girl who has a hobbit party for her ninth birthday when none of her friends know what the hobbit is let alone cares would do scottish country dancing.

we then went to jordan's house to get pride and prejudice because MICHELLE HAD NEVER SEEN IT. I lived with her ALL YEAR with the movie sitting RIGHT THERE the ENTIRE TIME and I. didn't .know. I am a terrible person.
while we were there she decided to make a sandwich.

we ended the night at michelle's watching pride and prejudice (oh mr. darcy. be still my heart) and having a mini photoshoot. because when you dress up and look cute you have to document it. obviously.

while it scottish country dancing was... fun. and interesting. we decided we probably wouldn't go back. an old man in a red kilt making kissing faces at us just isn't our idea of a fun thursday night.
