You would probably think that with my love of shopping I'd spend gift cards the day I got them. But that's not true, and I'm not really sure why. The only reason I've been able to come up with is that I don't want to waste money other people give me. If only I'd had that mentality about my money a year ago! I guess you live and learn. All of that to say, I hang on to gift cards for a long time and put a lot of though into what I want to get.
In May, I got a Target gift card from Leanne's mom and a Visa gift card from Wes and Sara. I finally used them on Saturday and got this. And bonus! I still have money on one gift card to spend!
I talked about getting a yoga mat at the beginning of the summer, so that wasn't an impulsive buy. And after wandering around Target last week on what I deemed my "scouting trip," I saw another dvd I thought I'd try. I debated the hand weights for a while and ended up getting them when I realized I asked Michelle almost all spring/summer if I could borrow hers. Plus, the dvd says they're needed for the workouts, so I couldn't not buy them.
And that is the fascinating glimpse into my thought process on gift cards. :)
P.S. You know you're lame when you spend your Saturday night at Target buying workout stuff.
