the suits family goes camping!

Tuesday was my brother-in-law, Kent's, birthday, and Kait surprised him with a camping trip at Edisto last weekend. (You can read her take of it here, here, and here.) I drove down on Sunday afternoon and spent a few hours with them.

Poor Patch is a spoiled inside dog, so the bugs were a bit difficult for him to handle. Actually, they were hard for all of us to handle.

I stayed and ate dinner with them and dessert and got to see this lovely view before heading home.

I won't spend much time catching up or rehashing the week my family spent at the beach, especially since Kait did such a good job of sharing it. But as I was going through the pictures again, I found some that were just too good to share. Enjoy!

We all took turns cooking dinner. Taco night was my night, and it turned out pretty good if I do say so myself.

Over the Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, Julia, Eva, and I took a day trip to Edisto State Park and Edisto Beach. Since my family goes there every summer, I was a huge fan of this plan.

We went on a day hike through the state park. It was awesome.

I literally got stuck in a tree because I couldn't bring myself to jump a whopping two feet. In my defense, it seemed a lot longer from above. Just don't ask me how long it took me to get down...

Then we headed down the road to the beach where we ate lunch and hung out.

or blanket in this case. last friday I went to the beach with michelle, her mom, and her sister. it was really windy so michelle sprawled out on the blanket so it wouldn't blow away while we looked for something to hold it down. this is the only picture I took the whole time and it makes me laugh.

sunday sunrise

sunday morning a bunch of us piled into trey's car and headed down to the beach to watch the sunrise. we were all tired, but waking up at 5:00 AM to go to the beach with friends is totally worth it. 

I'm going to miss these people like crazy.
