I won't spend much time catching up or rehashing the week my family spent at the beach, especially since Kait did such a good job of sharing it. But as I was going through the pictures again, I found some that were just too good to share. Enjoy!

mini vacation.

The one good thing to not having a real big girl job is that I get to spend more time with my family. And since my parents are only here until the end of the month, I'm not complaining. 

I joined Kait and Kent and my parents and went to Kent's parents' lake house a few weeks ago, and it was so much fun.

Kait was nice enough to sit in the back squished between Caris and Patch.

a couple of weeks ago I had fall break, and it was great. I got to go to kait and kent's house and hang out with them and their cute puppy. sadly, I caught senoritis while I was there and have since had a hard time gathering motivation to do ANYTHING. but it was still fun. and BONUS. I get to back this weekend and SEE MY PARENTS!!! Ah!

I've been on fall break since friday afternoon, and it's been lovely! I get to sleep in and hang out with the family including this cute little guy. he's my favorite.

rainy days

we had a couple of rainy days at the beach and to avoid going completely crazy, we looked for ways to get out of the house. so my sister and I grabbed a couple of umbrellas and my camera and decided to to what we do best.

we all read a lot at the beach. mom & kait read the help. dad read missionary books. sara got hooked on the hunger games (yay!). wes read a book but I can't remember the name of it. and I read thirteen moons which is really good. I guess we're all pretty nerdy.

ali. we took care of him for three years when he was younger and were able to reconnect with him about two or three years ago. you can read all about that here, here, and here. this is his second summer staying with us and he loves the beach.
