fall fun weekend!

A few weeks ago my sister sent me an invitation for an exclusive fall fun girls' weekend, and we decided this past weekend would be perfect since Kent was out of town. Sadly, our mom couldn't make it since she's halfway across the world, but Kait and I made the best of it by watching lots of chick flicks and eating lots of ice cream.

I arrived at her house to find this beautiful little set up.

Patch was very excited to see me.

Saturday morning we headed over to the River Walk and took Little Miss with us. She lasted for quite a while before crying and falling asleep.

Kait told me that the Irmo Branch library was having a book sale, so we checked it out. It was the best decision ever because I made bank! I got a lot of books I've been wanting to read or reread for a while.

Hooray for girls' weekend! Can't wait for our one next year!

happy {belated} birthday, sister!

January 23rd was my sister's TWENTY SIXTH birthday. gracious, where has the time gone?! 

I went home last weekend to celebrate.

We ate yummy homemade pizza, salad, and an (awesome) caramel apple cake.

Question: How many times does it take a pregnant woman to blow out candles on a cake??

the day kait & kent came to charleston...

I ate a whole pack of twizzlers by myself

rainy days

we had a couple of rainy days at the beach and to avoid going completely crazy, we looked for ways to get out of the house. so my sister and I grabbed a couple of umbrellas and my camera and decided to to what we do best.

the problem with working until 2 AM is that you sleep half of your day away

but getting a free chick-fil-a nugget platter last night made it worth it. as well as working with awesome people who make me laugh.

and this picture has nothing to do with work but my sister is in new orleans for the week and I miss her.

we started playing tennis and it turned into a photoshoot.

yesterday we attempted to play tennis. because when you sign up for tennis lessons, you kind of feel like maybe you should practice some. (and as you can see, I still need a lot of practice)

but all in all it was really fun, even if we did hit the ball all over the place.

and thanks to my sweet sister who woke up early to play with me. and have a photoshoot. because every outing needs one, obviously.
