a happy day

yesterday was one of those really good days. the kind where the sun is shining and there is a deeply felt joy that cannot be expressed or contained. you just know that, no matter what happens, everything is going to work out and be okay. yeah, that kind of day.

yesterday consisted of wandering around a local festival with Eva, Julia, and Michelle. we splurged on amazing homemade ice cream and witnessed a creepy facebook stalker moment. 

Leanne joined us later to celebrate Hilary and Eva's birthdays. we ate entirely too much food topped off with homemade chocolate cake and ended the night with conversations that made me laugh until I cried.

it was a really, really good day.

celebrating Jesus' death and resurrection and the salvation that comes through it.

happy first day of october! 

this is without a doubt one of my favorite months-- the changing leaves, the excuse to wear boots, the promise of cooler weather, the season of soup and tea, and so many other wonderful things.

I love fall.

an extra day of life...

happy extra day of life! my day was lovely. I spent it by skipping my 10:00 (responsible, I know) and going to target and starbucks where I got new nail polish and chai.

jordan and I spent the afternoon outside where we planned to do homework but that didn't happen. she decided to sketch me instead.

the rest of the day was spent at work but then michelle and I decided to go to applebees when I got off where I (sadly) did not have my camera. but all in all, it was a wonderful day.

salad. and more specifically zaxby's salad (although chick-fil-a's is still up there for number one. but I'm momentarily boycotting them since they ran out of all of their salads last week. how does that even happen?! I digress) I love salad I really do. call me a girl. I don't care. there is nothing like a good salad.

p.s. other things that make me happy at the moment: I got to volunteer with some great friends at habitat for humanity (and lamely left my camera- that didn't make me happy). it's cold outside and getting colder. I don't work tomorrow. I'm going to church. I'm to see the vow with two of my best friends.

if this post doesn't make me sound like a total girl I don't know what does. it's ok. I embrace it.
